The Clerk of Court and the deputy clerks are committed to providing you with superior customer service. We will be happy to assist you with any questions or concerns you may have about the services of this office or the procedures you must follow for a particular court process. However, that state law prohibits our staff from rendering legal advice or recommending specific ways to pursue legal action (OCGA 15-19-51).
Land Records Prior to 1989 Search
Cherokee County Clerk of Superior Courts is proud to announce a new search available to the public called OnPoint. With OnPoint you will easily be able to search the old Real Estate Indexes on-line.
All plats must be filed electronically. Plats will no longer be accepted for filing in paper format. The move to require the eFiling of plats was mandated with the passage of HB 1004 (15-6-67) during the Georgia General Assembly legislative session.
Register at https://efile.gsccca.org/ to begin the eFiling process.
Georgia law requires that every person, firm or partnership carrying on in this state any trade or business under any trade name or partnership name which does not disclose the individual ownership of the trade, business or profession shall before commencing to do business, file a registration statement in the office of the Clerk of Superior Court and that notice of such filing shall be published in the legal organ of the county once a week for two weeks.
Recording Activity Notification is a free electronic notification service that alerts a subscriber via email every time a document is recorded with a requested name. The link can be found at the top of http://deeds.cherokeega.com.

This office cannot research information about recorded documents by telephone. The information maintained is public record, and anyone may come in to research documents. Deputy clerks are available to assist Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
The Superior Court Clerk's office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm on the Ground Floor in suite G-150.
