Landmark is the current land records systems for Cherokee County. With Landmark you will be able to perform a name search and view images by book and page number for Real Estate, Lien and Plat records. Information on this page is from 1989 – current date at top of the screen.

This portal was created by the GSCCCA in cooperation with the Superior Court Clerks of Georgia in an effort to improve the technology of the Superior Court Clerks' offices and to streamline the document filing process to state or local government.

If you need to obtain a copy of a document filed in Deed Department first determine the type of copy you require. Georgia law determines the cost charged for copies, the Clerk of Court's office cannot waive these fees. We have a statutory obligation to collect fees for copies.

All plats must be filed electronically. Plats will no longer be accepted for filing in paper format. The move to require the eFiling of plats was mandated with the passage of HB 1004 (15-6-67) during the Georgia General Assembly legislative session.

Georgia law requires that every person, firm or partnership carrying on in this state any trade or business under any trade name or partnership name which does not disclose the individual ownership of the trade, business or profession shall before commencing to do business, file a registration statement in the office of the Clerk of Superior Court and that notice of such filing shall be published in the legal organ of the county once a week for two weeks.

We are pleased to announce that the Cherokee County Clerk of Superior Courts’ Deed Office has initiated the electronic recording (e-recording) of land record documents.

We have several e-Recording vendors to choose from including: Simplifile, CSC, ePN, Indecomm and GSCCCA.

Recording Activity Notification

Recording Activity Notification is a free electronic notification service that alerts a subscriber via email every time a document is recorded with a requested name. The link can be found at the top of http://deeds.cherokeega.com.

This office cannot research information about recorded documents by telephone. The information maintained is public record, and anyone may come in to research documents. Deputy clerks are available to assist Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

The Superior Court Clerk's office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm on the Ground Floor in suite G-150.
