Superior Court Clerk's Office

The Superior Court is a court of general jurisdiction handling both civil and criminal law actions. Superior Court Judges preside over cases involving misdemeanors, contract disputes, premises liability, and various other actions. In addition, the Superior Court has exclusive equity jurisdiction over all cases of divorce, title to land, and felonies involving jury trials, including death penalty cases

The Superior Court Clerk's office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm. The office is located on the Ground floor of the Justice Center in suite G-170 and the Deed Record Division is on the Ground Floor in suite G-150.

Court of Appeals of Georgia

The Georgia Court of Appeals is the intermediate appellate court in Georgia. It was established in 1906 and has fifteen judges who serve in five divisions.

General Civil and Domestic Information Forms

Cherokee County Clerk's Office is unable to provide forms or packets. All forms must be drafted by an attorney or the individual requesting court action.

The Blue Ridge Judicial Circuit, desiring to continue a just, efficient, and vigorous Indigent Defense program which meets the requirements of the Georgia Indigent Defense Act of 2003 and the standards for Indigent Defense promulgated by the Georgia Public Defender Standards Council.

Office of the District Attorney

If you received a Superior Court criminal jury trial subpoena to appear as a witness for the State of Georgia in Cherokee County, the subpoena states that you must appear in court as a witness. However, after completing the following instructions you may place yourself on call instead of appearing.

Parenting Seminar

This seminar is court ordered and mandatory for all couples seeking divorce, separate maintenance, paternity (once established), change of custody, visitation, legitimation (once established), and by specific order of the Court in Georgia that have children under 18 years of age.

Temporary Protective Orders

Protection Order If you have been abused or harassed, you can request a Protective Order. If you have a relationship with the person you want protection from you may ask the Court for a Family Violence Temporary Protective Order.
